My Journey
Gardening and We Have No Kids Monday, Jun. 02, 2003 @ 10:49 p.m.
Tonight I had a wonderful evening with my husband. We worked in the backyard. I planted flowers, and my husband planted veggies and cut down some bushes that were getting too big. It really helped to get my mind off of my ttc worries.

While we were eating dinner some college girls came to the door selling study guides for school-age kids. One of the girls started talking about dads and kids and homework. It was the beginning of her sales pitch. My husband had answered the door and had to interrupt and tell her that we didn't have kids. She apologized. I think she was a little embarrassed. Then she started asking which of our neighbors had kids. I wondered who had sent them to our house. I would think our neighbors would notice that no children live in our home! My husband said that he told his dad today about our appointment with the fertility specialist. His dad told him that he wouldn't tell my husband's brothers. I'm assuming that means that he will tell my mother-in-law. That's okay as long as she doesn't ask me any questions. I don't think she will though; she isn't like that. My husband is a pretty private person, so I don't mind keeping this to ourselves as much as possible. If anyone asks who lives near us I will tell them that so far they haven't found anything to be concerned about with me, and that our next step is to get Doug checked out. This is true because I'm pretty sure that Doug will have to be examined by a doctor to see if anything could be causing his low count. I'm still not sure when or what I'm going to tell my mom. Right now I'm thinking that I'll tell her after we see the specialist. then< >now Recent Entries Adoption Complete! Thinking About Another - Thursday, Nov. 05, 2009
