This morning I woke up from a dream where I was having stomach pain. In real life I was having cramps. So when I woke up I immediately knew that my period had arrived, right on schedule. I took some pain medication, went to the bathroom, and tried to sleep for another hour and a half.

My husband and I were talking about people who adopt children of other races than themselves and how difficult it can be to raise those children. We both knew of families who had difficulties with wayward and rebellious children. It makes me worry about us possibly adopting children.

Sue writes about how she and her husband chose not to adopt because they feel that God has not called them to do so. I agree with her that not all couples are called by God to adopt. Adoption is not easy. You shouldn't make the decision to adopt unless you are prepared to face the many challenges involved.
