My Journey
National Day of Prayer Thursday, May. 01, 2003 @ 5:54 p.m.
Today is the National Day of Prayer. It got me to thinking...
|
God has promised that he will provide for our needs. Christ taught us to pray, "Give us this day our daily bread." That doesn't mean he will give us "bread" each day, but that he will give us food, shelter, and clothing. He has provided that for me. I never have to worry that those needs will be met. I really should concentrate on my thankfulness for what He has given me. I don't "need" a child. That is a blessing that God may or may not decide to give me. I have such a happy and comfortable life. Now that troubles have come my way through infertility issues, I shouldn't be surprised. It's about time for me to experience another faith-strengthening trial. God is working in this situation, and there is a reason for all that is happening. That doesn't mean that I can't pray for a child. God wants His children, even me, to bring their requests to Him, and I believe that someday a child (mine or someone else's) will enter my life. This won't happen when I want it, but in His own perfect timing. It's nice to know that there is someone perfect out there:) then< >now Recent Entries Adoption Complete!
