Hooray! The application form and fee are ready to be mailed tomorrow.

Tonight I asked my husband if he minded if I called the pastor's wife to tell her about our adoption plans and to have her inform her husband that he will be contacted by the adoption agency. My husband thought it was a good idea as he hadn't been able to talk to the minister yet.

While my husband was out visiting the hardware store, I called the pastor's home and spoke to the Mrs. She was excited for us and very positive. I gave her some information about the adoption process and how we were keeping things private for now. She totally understood about our need for privacy and said that they would keep praying for us.

When my hubby got home I filled in the last few empty blanks on the application form and we both signed it. I also wrote out a $600 check for the application fee. Now it is all in an envelope ready to be placed in the mailbox tomorrow morning.

Next, we wait for the agency to contact us. I wonder if they will contact us this week yet. I hope so. I'd like to think that they will be prompt about getting things started. I'm certainly ready to get started on the paperwork.
