On New Year's Eve my husband and I attended the service at church. Our minister gave an excellent sermon about having faith in God for the future and in the present when things may be going badly. The verse he used was very applicable to what he had to say and had real meaning to me.

"Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will be joyful in God my Savior."
Habakkuk 3:17-18

My period didn't come yesterday, but I'm feeling cramps this morning and I think my temps are reliable now, so I expect it will come today. It better come today!

I feel like writing a poem about my infertility stuggle. There are lots of words in my head, but they aren't coming together into anything yet. I think what I need to do is just write them down first. Then I can look at them and see what can be done with them. I'm no poet, so maybe I won't even be able to get a poem written, but at least I can get some things written down.
