My husband told his mom Tuesday that we are pretty much approved. She asked him if that meant we would have a baby in a couple weeks. My husband was a little exasperated because he tries to educate her on how things work, but she just doesn't quite understand. He's decided that the less he tells her about what's going on, the better.

I was so happy when I got home today. The approval letter came in the mail today. We are now a waiting family! The letter is dated for two days ago, so I can now say we've been waiting for two days. It's a good feeling.

Along with the letter was a copy of our case study. I spotted a couple mistakes that I'll have to have changed. My husband's birthdate was written as my birthdate, and something about my family's history was incorrect. We have a form to sign, and another fee of $1,500 to pay. After that payment, there will be nothing more to pay until a baby is place in our home for adoption.
