My Journey
PCT and US Results Friday, Jun. 13, 2003 @ 11:16 a.m.
I'm back from my doctor's appointment, and I have some good news and some bad news.
|
The good news is that from the ultrasound (US) I could see that I have one follicle developing on my right ovary (the egg is too small to see). The lining of my uterus was also good. I should be ovulating in the next few days. The bad news is that the nurse didn't see many sperm in the mucus she removed from my cervix. Those that she did see were dead. I would have gotten to look through the microscope if she had seen any "action":( She did compliment me on my large quantity of cm:) It appears as though my husband's sperm and my cervical mucus are not compatible. She said that after we complete our other tests an IUI may be recommended. This procedure would bypass any cm that may be hostile to the sperm. Even with the bad news she told us to keep trying this cycle. She even suggested the days that we should have intercourse (!!!), keeping in mind that my husband will need to abstain a couple of days for his second semen analysis on Wednesday. Well, no more tests for me until after my trip to California. Hooray! then< >now Recent Entries Adoption Complete! Thinking About Another - Thursday, Nov. 05, 2009
